Tales of (mis)adventure from abroad

vietnam stamp

Should I have listened to the men in the village? Their enthusiasm about guiding me through the jungle had quickly dissipated after I leaned my head to the side against my open hand, closing my eyes. “I want sleep jungle, two days. Have Dong, will pay good price”. No amount of money would do it. One of them had pointed his finger to his head, and they all had started laughing dismissively. And now here I was. How could I be so far from everything? Where was the village? How could I go back? I didn’t know.

Marvellous…It is so interesting seeing that you are so passioned with those kind of travels (adventures, landscapes, silence, paradise!!)
You impress me a lot, did you know? I have always dream to travel this way, but when will I put my project on track?!
    Good job Yannick:)

it appears that your project is exactly on track: You are part of the 17 wonderful students I’m accompanying to a very poor and remote area of Peru this summer to volunteer in orphanages and schools, aren’t you? Seems like quite an adventure to me.

Ah, i hate the feeling of being lost, happened a few times as a kid. That intense panick is nothing i would want to experience again. That is an AWESOME picture by the way. Cant wait to see some more postcards, i really think u started something big. The combination of photographic artwork and such limited but rich litterature is a really good idea.

Just to clarify something (potentially embarrassing) that has been brought to my attention: The Dong is the vietnamese currency. :)
