Land Of Fairies

Land Of Fairies

The waiter had insisted I visit the abandoned mansion that he used to explore as a kid. His description of its mythical gardens, secret passages, hidden doorways and baroque buildings, seemed straight out of a Harry Potter book. Even though restoration had now started on the main buildings and tourists had been allowed in for a year, I couldn’t resist and decided to take a couple of hours to check it out. Eight hours later, with muddy feet, bats flying through my hair, and a flashlight between my teeth, I discovered a world lost between the imaginary and the real.

It’s hard to explain, but yeah, it’s like a deep well, with staircases going down and around inside the walls and from where you go off into several underground tunnels.
