Tales of (mis)adventure from abroad

I was hungry. I had foraged the entire village but hadn’t found a single piece of edible matter, except for this one bowl full of delicious looking bananas! I pointed to the fruits and to my open mouth. The kid’s facial expression turned to horror and he darted inside the hut. Seconds later, a man appeared waving his arms in disagreement. I confidently pulled out a roll of bills: “Money, I pay!” His agitation turned to despair. He joined his hands together and bowed at the food… Adorned by incense sticks… And a painting of Buddha… Shit, an offering bowl.
